This latest adaptation of Michael Connelly’s books has made its way to screens across the nation. Unlike the 2011 film, you won’t find Matthew McConaughey reprising the role. Instead, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo steps into Mickey Haller’s shoes—and it’s a refreshing choice. Garcia-Rulfo brings his own charm (and a dimple or two) to the role. From the very first episode, we see Mickey trying to regain his rhythm in the courtroom after a stint in rehab for substance abuse. Navigating Recovery

Jazz Raycole plays Izzy Letts, one of Mickey’s clients who ends up as his personal driver. Early on, there’s a powerful scene where the two sit at a bar, not drinking, and discussing their paths to recovery. The show has a similar vibe to Bosch, with Mickey’s scenes at his home overlooking a stunning view of Los Angeles and the interactions with his teenage daughter, Hayley Haller, played by Krista Warner. I must say, she looks as fabulous as ever.
